Margaret (Maggie) Mueller, MD, FACOG, FACS, is an internationally recognized urogynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon. Her expertise in minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic techniques allows her to offer a wider range of treatment options so that each patient’s care is personal and customized to their specific needs and goals. Along with her team, she pioneered the Single Port Robotic Surgery Program, providing patients with accelerated recovery. Dr. Mueller cares for patients with pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, complex urogenital fistulas and mesh complications, tailoring each treatment plan to meet the goals of her patients. Additionally, Dr Mueller has niche surgical expertise in the management of congenital genitourinary anomalies in adolescents and young women. Recognizing the need for high-quality care in this patient population, she received a special ABOG Focus of Practice designation in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and founded a multidisciplinary program dedicated to caring for adolescents and young women with congenital anomalies, such as Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome.

Along with her commitment to her clinical practice, Dr. Mueller is dedicated to advancing the field of urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery through high-quality research. She is an avid National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded investigator leading multicenter, cutting-edge research to better the care women with pelvic floor disorders receive. Her investigations focus on surgical outcomes, education and advocacy, which have been published in numerous well-respected, scientific journals, including Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urogynecology, Journal of Urology, International Urogynecology Journal and Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology.

She is also passionate about surgical education. Well decorated in both undergraduate and graduate medical education, she has served as the Program Director for Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship and Module Leader for Reproductive Science. Nationally, she has partnered with organizations including the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) in developing curricula, redesigning milestones, and participating in the certification pathway to influence the education of the next generation of urogynecologic surgeons. She currently directs the national robotic surgery course for urogynecology fellows, and she has taught many national and international courses in surgical techniques and the identification and management of lower urinary tract injury.

Why does this provider not have a star rating?

Our goal is to provide our patients and visitors with correct and useful information. We only post provider satisfaction information from clinic surveys when they are returned from patients.

This provider has not had surveys returned that meet the necessary sample size

About Our Star Ratings and Comments:

Randomly selected patients are sent patient satisfaction surveys after their visits. We get thousands of survey responses each year. The responses are used to improve patient experience and recognize staff members for the care they provide. Patient survey responses are also used to make star ratings for each provider.

For the star ratings and comments, all feedback on the provider web page is posted as it was given from patients. Comments that do not apply, risk patient privacy, or are not appropriate are not posted. Star ratings and comments come from a number of survey questions. A star rating is not given if a provider only has a small number of survey responses.
