Anthony N. Gentile, MD, PhD

Clinical Associate of Obstetrics and Gynecology

[MUSIC PLAYING] My name is Anthony Gentile, I'm an obstetrician gynecologist. I do general health care for women. That includes pelvic exams, breast exams, abdominal exams. I'd like to help people. And I enjoy making people better. And I enjoy helping women. I love my mom. And I love making people, especially people that are hurting and really have bad problems. I like to be able to do that and make them better. And if I can do this with these little incisions if they need surgery.

A lot of them don't need surgery and we treat them other ways. But those that do, I emphasize doing this, a minimally invasive approach. And that's the division that I'm in, the MIGS division, minimally invasive gynecology surgery. It's one of the top centers in the region and not the world. And we have an amazing set of gynecologists that work here, including the people in my MIGS group. They are just wonderful surgeons and people with a large expertise.

One of the things that we're going to be doing more of in my new office is making it a menopause center for people that have all kinds of menopausal problems. A large part of our population is getting older. And those women need help dealing with menopause and all the symptoms. As I mentioned, minimally invasive surgery is the division that I'm in. And that is basically doing surgeries through small little incisions, pinky-sized incisions, removing big fibroids through these small little holes so people don't have to have big incisions.

And they don't have to stay in the hospital very long at all. Some of them go home on the day of surgery. So laparoscopy, especially for endometriosis fibroid uteruses, robotic laparoscopy, I do a lot of that. And then, surgeries for treating pelvic-- or for treating heavy bleeding menstrual problems, the [INAUDIBLE] all that sort of surgery. Treating endometriosis is a lot of what I do too.

About Our Star Ratings and Comments:

Randomly selected patients are sent patient satisfaction surveys after their visits. We get thousands of survey responses each year. The responses are used to improve patient experience and recognize staff members for the care they provide. Patient survey responses are also used to make star ratings for each provider.

For the star ratings and comments, all feedback on the provider web page is posted as it was given from patients. Comments that do not apply, risk patient privacy, or are not appropriate are not posted. Star ratings and comments come from a number of survey questions. A star rating is not given if a provider only has a small number of survey responses.
