For minor injuries or illnesses, you can visit our local River East location at 339 E. Grand Ave., Chicago IL, 60611. We offer fast and effective urgent care treatment for high-quality, convenient care.
UChicago Medicine has walk-in urgent care availability for adult and children. No appointments needed, so you can see a doctor on your time.
Common conditions treated at urgent care:
- Testing and treatment for COVID, Flu and RSV (results in an hour or less)
- Sprains and strains
- Strep throat
- Upset stomach
- STDs/UTIs
- Ear pain/infection
- Rashes and insect bites
- Stitches and care for cuts and burns

For urgent care patients, please enter the building through the 339 E. Grand Ave. entrance.
Public transportation:
- Take the Red Line to Grand Ave. Walk east 0.5 miles on Grand to McClurg Ct., or take the 29 Navy Pier bus from Illinois & State to McClurg Ct. Walk north one block to 339 E. Grand Ave.
Parking:
- We offer discounted parking in the Standard Parking that can be entered through either 300 E. Illinois or 321 E. Grand. Our discounted parking rate is $12 for 4 hours.
Driving directions:
- From Lake Shore Drive: Exit at Grand Ave. and proceed west towards McClurg Ct. An entrance to the parking garage is located past that intersection on your left at 321 E. Grand.
- From the West: Take Illinois St. east towards Columbus Dr. An entrance to the parking garage is located past that intersection on your left at 300 E. Illinois.
Once inside the parking garage, follow the signs to LL3 (Fall) for designated UChicago Medicine patient parking.
With x-ray machines and some lab capabilities on hand, we can assess your injury or illness swiftly and accurately.
