Drug Induced Sleep Endoscopy
Expert sleep surgeon Phillip LoSavio, MD, uses drug induced sleep endoscopy to determine the cause of any breathing issue and establish the best treatment.

Drug induced sleep endoscopy, also known as DISE or DISE-PAP, is a diagnostic procedure to evaluate the upper airway of patients suffering from snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.

This procedure is an important step in evaluating patients with sleep apnea who struggle with their continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device. It is a required evaluation step before receiving an Inspire implant and many other sleep surgery treatments for obstructive sleep apnea.

Surgeons at UChicago Medicine are experienced in performing drug induced sleep endoscopy for diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea and helping patients understand their sleeping and airway problems.
