​95 UChicago Medicine doctors named to Chicago’s ‘Top Docs’ list

Ninety-five physicians from the University of Chicago Medicine have been named to Chicago magazine’s 2018 list of the region’s best doctors.

That accounts for 16 percent of the 591 doctors who were recognized in the publication’s "Top Docs" issue, published online in early January.

The list includes 95 physicians from UChicago Medicine and Comer Children's Hospital as well as one physician from Ingalls Memorial, which became part of the academic medical center's health system in 2016.

The magazine’s annual compilation of experts in 48 specialties and sub-specialties is based on data collected by the research company Castle Connolly Medical. Honorees were nominated by physicians nationwide who were asked to consider factors such as clinical excellence, bedside manner, education and board certification.
