UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital offers comprehensive therapeutic behavioral and mental health treatment to help you lead a productive life. 

Our team of skilled behavioral health experts includes therapists, psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and medical staff. Through our teams you have access to a wide range of mental health treatment for common and complex diagnoses at facilities that are close to home.

Our goal is to provide each person with a course of care that’s right for them, which may be individual or group therapy as well as medication management. We offer both in-person and virtual options at four convenient locations.

Services and Treatment

Your treatment at UChicago Medicine Ingalls will be tailored to your specific needs, so each person’s path can be different. Services we offer include:

  • General outpatient clinics. Our general clinic is usually the starting point for people with undiagnosed psychiatric disorders. Patients are evaluated and continue in the clinic for therapy and care, and may be referred to specialty clinics for treatment of specific issues.
  • Group therapy, which offers both time-limited and ongoing groups for treatment of a range of conditions and support.
  • Intensive outpatient program (IOP), which provides a higher level of support than traditional outpatient services. It generally consists of nine to 16 hours per week of sessions and medication-assisted treatment. It is available in Calumet City, Flossmoor, Harvey and Tinley Park. Learn more about IOP.
  • Adolescent intensive outpatient program (IOP),  A higher level of support than traditional outpatient services, available in Harvey and Tinley Park. Our programs offer expression through the creative arts, learning mindfulness techniques, connection with peers who understand, and development of lifelong coping skills.   • Inpatient psychiatric care, which includes therapeutic behavioral health treatment services for a variety of conditions and treatments. Our inpatient psychiatry programs are available at UChicago Medicine at Ingalls - Harvey.
