In this free class, a registered nurse helps expectant parents learn about breastfeeding essentials, including:
- Infant latch-on and positioning
- Monitoring infant intake and output
- Maternal diet
- Troubleshooting problems
Additionally, we provide an introduction to breast pumps and discuss planning needs for mothers returning to work. We also discuss the role of fathers and partners in breastfeeding and skin-to-skin.
Registration is required to attend a class. Classes are closed once registration reaches maximum capacity.
