It’s no fun being sick, especially when you’re a kid. That’s why the entire team at Comer Children’s Hospital works hard to bring holiday magic to our patients. From toy drives and holiday games, to a Nutcracker performance and special bedside visits with Santa, we call our seasonal merriment Comer Cheer. ​

Flu season brings temporary visitor restriction policy

UChicago Medicine will implement visitor restrictions beginning Dec. 27, 2017 due to widespread flu activity in the region. The restrictions limit access to certain patient areas and will likely remain in effect untl the spring.

One-stop shopping lowers barriers to behavioral and mental health care

UChicago Medicine has launched a behavioral medicine clinic that is integrated into the primary care clinic, with physicians and health psychologists working together in the same space to offer same-day consultations and therapy sessions to help patients with behavior change, chronic disease management, depression, anxiety, and other emotional and behavioral problems.
