The Future: Diabetes Youth & Parent Group
Life with Type 1 diabetes can be challenging for youth with diabetes and the people who support and care for them. Sometimes, young people with diabetes have never met anyone else their age with Type 1.
The Future: Diabetes Youth and Parent Group is a free group open to any youth with Type 1 diabetes, as well as parents and caregivers. We offer a supportive, interactive experience for all participants, including:
- Fun activities for youth with diabetes
- Discussions with diabetes specialists for parents
This group meets quarterly in February, May, July and October.
Our May class has been cancelled and will be rescheduled based on government recommendations to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Participants will also receive:
- Free parking
- Free t-shirt
- Complimentary refreshments
- Opportunities to win raffle prizes, such as gift cards, theme park tickets and even a diabetes camp scholarship (eligibility based on attendance)
