Visit our Amazon wish lists to choose from a selection of toys, books and other gift items appropriate for patients at Comer Children's. Items purchased from this list will ship directly to the hospital.

In order to adhere to Hospital Policy and Best Practice, all toy donations must follow these strict guidelines:

  • Brand new (original tags/packaging still on all items)
  • Non-violent (no toys with weapons, such as guns or knives)
  • Durable, non-toxic and plastic
  • Non-denominational
  • Non-denominational
  • Not gift wrapped

Due to safety and infection control guidelines, we are unable to accept:

  • Homemade items
  • Foam toys/puzzles
  • Candles
  • Food
  • Anything breakable (i.e., ceramic, glass)
  • Sharp items (nail clippers, metal nail files)
  • Anything with Latex
  • Small Rubber Balls
  • Magnetic Toys

In-Person Deliveries
When shipping is not possible, please contact our donation coordinator, Amy Carter, at 773-702-0407 or comercheer@uchospitals.edu to review guidelines and arrange a date and time if determined to be feasible.
 
Due to infection control & confidentiality guidelines, the following must be adhered to:

  • Drop offs must be coordinated in advance. A specific date and time will be provided for your curbside drop off to occur.
  • All donors must monitor for illness and may not come to campus if you have any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
  • Masks covering the nose and mouth are required for everyone on campus at all times.
  • Donors will be given a designated area to park and a phone number to call upon arrival.
  • Donors must remain outside the buildings at all times.
  • Please remain in your car and work to maintain social distancing throughout curbside transfer of the items.
  • No photographs are permitted during this time. We encourage you to take any pictures before arrival. You are welcome to post your own photos to Facebook or Instagram and tag Comer Children’s Hospital.
