Hundreds of University of Chicago Medicine employees and their families cheered on the WNBA Chicago Sky on Sunday evening as the team played – and won – their first home game of the season in their new venue at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago’s South Loop. The Sky defeated the New York Liberty 80-76.

UChicago Medicine is the official medical provider and major sponsor of the WNBA’s Chicago Sky basketball team, providing comprehensive player- and patient-centered services in orthopaedics and sports medicine, women’s health and primary care.

Sunday’s game also featured the debut of REMOC, the cuddly and friendly monster who is the mascot of the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital. REMOC delighted Sky fans of all ages by giving hugs and high-fives and leading a series of stretches on the court during the third quarter.

Fans will find REMOC at all Chicago Sky home games at the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Kids' Corner behind Section 112. The Comer Kids' Corner offers games, giveaways and activities for children, as well as the opportunity to visit and take photos with REMOC.

The next Sky home game is Wednesday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. against the Atlanta Dream.
