Multiple Sclerosis: Expert Q&A

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disease of the brain and spinal cord. While the exact cause is not known, we do know that MS causes a person's immune system to damage the protective covering of nerves. This leads to interruptions of nerve impulses that travel to and from the brain and spinal cord.

Dr. Adil Javed and Dr. Anthony Reder have dedicated their careers to studying new ways to diagnose and treat MS.
