Some children and adolescents with neurological conditions also have behavioral or learning problems that may require psychiatric care. Our pediatric neurologists work side-by-side with University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital child psychiatrists and psychologists to address a wide range of problems that affect learning and behavior. Testing is available to assess a child's intellectual functioning, language skills, motor abilities, and other cognitive and behavioral functions. Individual and group therapy, as well as prescription medicines may be recommended.
